Guidance for Accurate Entry of RR No./Parcel Way Bill (PWB) Numbers Following E-Way Bill (EWB) Integration with Parcel Management System (PMS)

?Indian Railways' Parcel Management System (PMS) has been integrated with the E-Way Bill (EWB) system to ensure better traceability. Taxpayers transporting goods via rail must now enter the RR No./Parcel Way Bill (PWB) number in Part-B of the EWB portal using the correct format.

?Applicability : RR No./PWB numbers must be entered when transporting goods through the Indian Railways’ PMS.

?Updating EWB : Use the "Multi-Transport Mode" option in Part-B, select Rail, and enter the RR No./PWB number.

?Format : Enter the number as PXXXRRNo (e.g., PNZM2020-307306), where P indicates PMS, XXX is the station code, and RRNo is the Railway Receipt number.

?For FOIS/Leased Wagons : Enter RR numbers as per the receipt without changes.

?Validation : Ensure accurate entry, as the EWB system validates it with PMS data. Mismatches will trigger alerts.

?Accurate Entry : Ensure correct RR No./PWB entries for smooth tracking and validation.
