On June 7, 2024, the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) released a crucial advisory for manufacturers of Pan Masala and Tobacco products regarding the submission of specific information. Below are the essential details:

Forms GST SRM-I and GST SRM-II:
Notification No. 04/2024 – Central Tax has introduced two new forms: GST SRM-I and GST SRM-II.

GST SRM-I is related to the registration and disposal of machines.

GST SRM-II is designed to collect information on inputs and outputs for a given month.

GST SRM-I has been available for machine registration since May 15, 2024.

Now, Form GST SRM-II is also accessible on the portal for reporting purposes.

Reporting Details:

Manufacturers of Pan Masala and Tobacco products are required to use Form GST SRM-IIEnsure to report the details of inputs and outputs procured and consumed during the relevant month using this form.
