GST Updates

1- Regular taxpayers can opt for Composition Scheme for Financial Year 2023-24 by navigating ‘Services-> Registration-> Application to Opt for composition Levy’ and filing Form CMP-02. This facility is available till 31/3/2023.

2- Registration as OPC in the ‘Part B’ of GST Registration Form ‘REG-01’, the applicant may select (Constitution of Business under ‘Business Details’ tab using dropdown list) option “Others”. After selecting the option as “Others”, the applicant shall also mention “One Person Company” in the text field.

3- Three Maharashtra GST officials involved in a fake raid were dismissed through a newspaper ad.

4- Roof mounted AC units for passenger coaches to have 28% GST: Punjab AAAR.

5- GST dept to scrutinize I-T, and MCA data to identify entities not paying taxes.
